Trudy likes to call it a "fun shop" not a workshop! Learn how to take photographs with your smartphone including: whole quilt view, close-up, portrait view, back of quilt, and label. You'll also learn how to edit your photos with your smartphone--cropping, adjusting exposure, contrast, saturation, and brilliance--don't worry if you don't know what all that means; that's what the fun shop is for!
Refund policy: We cannot refund workshop fees, but you can gift your spot to a friend if something comes up and you can't make it.SelectQuantityComing soonCathedral Window Sampler

For twenty years Shelley has been creating Cathedral Window Quilts entirely by machine. The technique uses three-dimensional piecing to construct the top and during quilting the bias folds are rolled and stitched in place to create a finished quilt.
Materials: Pattern cost is $5 for class participants (payable at the workshop). Precut kits will be available at the class for $15 each. Fabric and other supplies will be sent to class participants after registration.

$35.00 - $45.00
Date: Saturday, September 7, 2024
Time: 9:00 - 3:00 PST
Format: In person, Ehlers Senior Center
Jo Mellis has been quilting for 50 years and has written two books on quilting with Patti Paschall. She is a former member of Acacia and currently diagrams quilt patterns for the philanthropy quilts made by members of QBS. The finished One Block Wonder quilts look quite complicated, but are actually simple to sew as they are sewn in columns. No inset seams are required! To make a one block wonder (or kaleidoscope quilt), you place 6 layers of the same fabric on top of each other, lining up the patterns exactly, and then cut them into strips then triangles. Once you have the triangles, the fun begins! You get to swirl the identical triangles around the different points to see which patterns you like best!
You can use whole yardage or panels. Take a picture of your fabric and upload it to the Design Helper at https://oneblockwonder.com/design-helper/
Materials list will be available at the September meeting or by email when you sign up!
