Introduction to English Paper Piecing with Cheryl Fujii

Date: Saturday, May 3<br>Time: 9:00 - 3:00 PST<br>Format: In person, Picasso Room, Ehlers Senior Center<br>Are you tired of sitting in doctors’ waiting rooms reading 5-year-old magazines? Fidgety fingers at your kids’ or grandkids’ sports games? Join us as we explore the world of English Paper Piecing. This technique is 100% portable as it involves hand sewing. Participants will learn how to sew 5 different 6” blocks using paper templates and we’ll explore a variety of finishing options. You do you!<br>Kit details $20 payable at class<br><br>Please Bring: <br>1 pair sewing scissors<br>Thread to match your fabric choices<br>Fabric (Take a look at the class samples to get an idea of how you would like to color your blocks. Remember, all blocks finish as 6” square. How many colors would you like to use? A bundle of fat quarters—8 to 10--would work and give you leftover fabric for finishing. Maybe you’d like to go scrappy with each block different colors.
